The Annex
Built in 1902 as a private home for Charles Van Vleck, The Georgian Inn was later converted into a residential hotel for short-term stays in the 1940s. At this time, the Montclair branch of the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) relocated its New Jersey headquarters to the Queen Anne carriage house in back. In 2008, the historic buildings were granted a landmark status and in 2012, after it was purchased, the hotel underwent a full renovation. The George is a design-minded, boutique hotel with historic bones in the heart of Montclair, NJ.
